One problem here, is the differrences between North American cars and UK cars. Over here, we have no documentation for the differences between the two markets.

The service manual over here says the brake lights are activated by a switch on the brake controller. In automatics, there is a switch on the pedal to enable shifting from PARK.

Who knows what you have over there. What we need, is a UK version of the service manual.
