oh again in post 8 i recommended get a new rcm,,,,,k40 mercedes name of it and today i spoke to her and she is either getting a new rcm or sending her's to tighted1 so we all learn something new every day. best of luck to her.
I am part of a cult on Facebook PREACHING TO ALL to order an RCM, know where it is, and know how easy it is to change.

They fail more than, I think, anything and they are EASY to change. Kinda funny, the other two modules are hard to change but they seldom fail. Seems like MB planned for this failure to be easy to fix, dont' ya think?
There is NO reason for people to be calling tow trucks due to an RCM, not now that we've all learned about this failure.

I know I come off rude sometimes, I don't really care. I care more about empowering the average, non-technical owner so they don't get stranded by a defect we all know about and that ANYONE can remedy on their own. NOTHING will make someone feel better than changing an RCM and seeing their car come to life right away. That feeling is not to be reserved only for us techies, gearheads or 'mechanics'.
