Is there a way to manually release, open trunk?!
So, I have a 2005 Crossfire SRT6 Roadster I have just purchased… seller decided informing me that the hydraulic cylinders leaking was not something wrong with car… “cars mint, just a cheap, cloudy, plastic rear window, only thing that you may want to replace”…. Turns out they had gushing cylinders, that they stuffed with like a full roll of paper towels… anyways, so… I purchased a new top, figured I’d remove old, get to those cylinders, remove them, & send in to have rebuilt. Well… it started drizzling while in process of removing cylinders, so I tossed my car cover on quick, apparently the cover caught the rear bow & pulled it down, locking it down… except it didn’t fully lock, it’s half in & half out.. but I can’t hinge it to finish my job! The trunk will not open, I’m assuming part of a safety feature or sensors… because the rear bow latch is not 100% engaged/lock position? I have the tool to manually open top… but need ti be able ti get into the trunk, to use it 😬 the open/close button for top obviously is not going to work since I had already removed the left & right main cylinders… is there any other way to pop trunk open?! Or is that rear bow being partially down/engaged.. triggering a sensor that is no matter what, going to keep that trunk closed?
