Default Is there a way to manually release, open trunk?!

So, I have a 2005 Crossfire SRT6 Roadster I have just purchased… seller decided informing me that the hydraulic cylinders leaking was not something wrong with car… “cars mint, just a cheap, cloudy, plastic rear window, only thing that you may want to replace”…. Turns out they had gushing cylinders, that they stuffed with like a full roll of paper towels… anyways, so… I purchased a new top, figured I’d remove old, get to those cylinders, remove them, & send in to have rebuilt. Well… it started drizzling while in process of removing cylinders, so I tossed my car cover on quick, apparently the cover caught the rear bow & pulled it down, locking it down… except it didn’t fully lock, it’s half in & half out.. but I can’t hinge it to finish my job! The trunk will not open, I’m assuming part of a safety feature or sensors… because the rear bow latch is not 100% engaged/lock position? I have the tool to manually open top… but need ti be able ti get into the trunk, to use it 😬 the open/close button for top obviously is not going to work since I had already removed the left & right main cylinders… is there any other way to pop trunk open?! Or is that rear bow being partially down/engaged.. triggering a sensor that is no matter what, going to keep that trunk closed?

Yes there is. A member in the UK just went thru hell with this, your car is North American and it's easy - try all the things we told this guy to do. None worked for him, but they will work for you, as your car has no 'anti theft plates'.
Its all in many threads here, but here is the UK thread:

Many years ago, with my first Roadster, I had to learn as I went as we didn't know as much about our cars, you can read about how much fumbling I had to do here:

Awesome, thanks! I’ll definitely check that link out. I’ve been searching & searching… even on here, but I just kept coming across scenarios in which people had an actual lock issues itself. I sorta assumed there was some sorta I’d security or sensors when I couldn’t put the top down while trunk was open… so I had a feeling, I probably wouldn’t also be able to open trunk while changing out cylinders…. So I was making sure
not to close that rear bow… stupid car cover apparently got caught & pulled it down though… I wasn’t careful enough… or thinking much in the moment, other than… “I gotta cover this thing quick”. 😂

The ignition on, hold top down button, turn ignition off, continue holding top down button for 10 seconds…. Worked! Thanks again!
