2006 coupe manual

I was driving along and noticed the break wear indicator coming on when I pressed the break, after a while I pressed the break and it almost went to the floor, it still stopped the car but usually the break is stiff and feel a lot of resistance but now it’s really light, so I had the front breaks changed and the wear indicator no longer comes on but the pedal still goes to the floor, when I’m slowing down I pump the break pedal a few times and it goes back to normal but after that it goes to the floor again, I’m at the point anytime I need to stop or come to traffic lights I need to pump the pedal 2-3 times for the break to work correctly, any ideas what this is and how to fix?

it’s had new break pads on the front.
no leaks or cracked lines and break fluid is at the correct level.
