Hutch, I do not know if you are still around, but the metal key can be replaced by Needswings or a local locksmith who works on cars ignitions. If you go to a Chrysler dealership parts dept they can look up on their computers the "keycode" for your specific car. You will need to bring your title and driver's license as proof of ownership and it should be free. Just takes a few minutes and with that "keycode" a locksmith should be able to cut you a new key.
Using the info I provided above you can place the new metal key into your FOB. Good luck!
