Default Re: Crank, start, die. Crank, start, die. No Crank. The SKREEM!

A few months ago I had my SKREEM re-programmed when I got the 3 tries and you're out as well. Put it all back together and was working fine. My wife uses it as a daily driver and 1 day she got the 3-strikes issue again (after the fix was done). I too pulled the battery cable, reconnected and it started right up. Haven't had the problem present again. One thing that came to mind (and I told her to stop doing) is she liked to quickly flip the key from "off" all the way to "start" position and then let it go while the car starter engages and car eventually a second later. I told her to stop doing that! Told her to turn the key from "off" to "on" and wait a second, look at dash lights and then on "start". I think her little quick snaps of the key moved it from "off to "start" so fast the SKREEM didn't have a chance to read the chip in the key. This is just a guess as I assume the SKREEM reads the key chip when it reaches the "on" position and power is sent to everything. Since she's slowed down and stopped that key flipping nonsense the car has been starting without any further issues.
