I have found one other item that bit me in the behind in the manual.
Cooling Service Info, Sec:7-17, Torq Specs, last two items. WP M6 bolts 10N-m, M8 bolts 35N-m.

WP Install, Sec: 7-64, Step 3, tighten WP bolts to 35N-m.

My feeling was that there was a lot of torq for such a small bolt (the M6 bolts) and two bolts snapped off. I had to rent a trailer and take the XF over to the mechanic to extract them. Lucky he's a good mechanic and had them out in less than 5 minutes. Took him longer to set up than it did to remove the bolts.
If you are referring to water pump installation, the torque setting for the M6 is correct at 10nm. The correct torque for the M8 should be 25nm not 35nm. The M6 ones were the ones that broke?
