I'm in the same boat as you with the roof and spoiler. If you push hard on the motor wheel on the spoiler you can slowly move it down and then just take the wire off for now. Many say this could all be rear left ABS sensor. If you think about it, all of the things we're asking of the car are related to speed. Too fast and it won't let you move the roof. At 50 odd MPH the spoiler moves up and down.
I must admit, I've had to take a break from the car as it's doing my head in! She runs great and is a useful beer car (she spends most of her life in pub car parks waiting to be collected after the weekend )
Maybe we can share the journey and keep each other motivated...because I certainly need some motivation right now!
