Could the battery failing cause a phantom drain? I was having a problem with the battery draining after about a week and a half of non-use (it’s the "fun" car these days, so it often sits that long). The dealer traced it to the siren and after pulling it out, the drain seems to have gone. My thinking is that if the rechargeable battery is not charging, it could continuously try to charge the battery, draining the main. Does that make sense?

if so, I am going to try to get inside and see if I can replace it.

I am hoping someone can confirm my reasoning.
