Default Re: bas / esp and shift ****

It appears to me the car has been neglected and I'd suspect the supercharger cut out due to a flaky coolant pump (not water pump for those unfamiliar with that engine).
The BAS light, as we all know, can be any of a handful of things from flaky alternator/battery, open ground from block to chassis, failing alternator, wheel speed sensor, flaky traction control relay/RCM, etc.

The shift lever not being centered? That's a new one on me, but I don't drive autos because the Crossfire "sport mode" is a joke. I do like what the MSS has done with their 'next level' auto tunes, now THAT is impressive. Make his trans tune with his engine tune, and the SRT is a VERY fun car that offers good control over the transmission. I Know, I drove James' demo SRT at last fall's Dragon -it was the first automatic I've driven since 1977 that was fun to drive, and I had cONTROL over the car.

As to that car, Doug: If it's priced right and you have the time, energy, skill and money to bring it back to where is should be, buy it. If you are not wanting to bother with it, go find a car from one of our members that has been cared for well. There are always good SRTs available but not cheap. If you want to pursue that, message me here and I can connect you with one. LIke so many on here, I've been here since 2009 and know where the SRTs are that I'd be comfortable buying. Dean in Nashville just sold one and Lars in GA just sold one (Lars let his go for $10,000 or so).
