Default Suggested Troubleshooting steps for stalling

I have owned my 06 Crossfire coupe for about 2 months now (6 speed base coupe with about 39k miles). It has the erratic fan issue which I am trying to address but more importantly it has the stalling issue that I have read a lot about on this forum. Twice the car has stalled on me and would not crank over after it stalls. After it sits a little while it does start back up but the check engine light then stays on for approximately 2-3 days, during which time it starts and runs fine. There are a lot of posts about potential fixes however I am trying to determine what the order should be in trying to diagnose my issue. Can anyone with longer term experience with their Crossfire give me an idea of which troubleshooting steps I should try first and then what to move onto if the initial steps don't work?

Also, from what I have noticed there seems to be a small core group of issues that plague the Crossfire's. If anyone can point me to all the relevant technical posts I would be more than happy to take this information and put together a single comprehensive pdf on diagnosing and fixes all the know issues. That is assuming this has not been done already but I have not found it.

One last note. I want to thank the administrators as well as all the knowledgeable owners who address many of the posts I have read on the forum. It is always great to have "experts" who have been there and done that and are willing to share/help. I understand many of the same issues are addressed over and over, and if you are an expert/admin it can become annoying and frustrating. However take a deep breath and know that your opinions and advice are priceless to some of us. Also you can always just scream "serenity now!" Sometimes that helps.
