Default Re: ABS system and break bleeding

Dennis, The Crossfire will not bleed brakes as some automobiles. The programing does not exist on the Crossfire. I have a DRB III and what the ESP/BAS system test does on the Crossfire runs the pump on the ABS system for about 2~3 seconds to complete the test. At no time does the brake pedal move. Perhaps if you had a caliper opened at the bleed nipple/valve and ran the test, fluid may come out the bleed nipple, but the test is not designed to operate that way. Best bleeding procedure is to open the brake fluid reservoir cap, attach a pressure bleeding tool and then proceed with each caliper.
I asked "toolman" about this a couple years back and he confirmed that the pump on the ABS only runs a couple of seconds to complete the programed testing.
