Steve - I was just interested in bleeding the ABS and asked Autel whether they had a scanner that would trigger the pump to do so. So you're telling me that only a few seconds of ABS pump operation is all that is needed to purge air out of the ABS. Once that test is done, then I'd need to bleed the brakes to remove the air the ABS pushed into the system.

I was looking at a low mileage Crossfire and I know the ABS HCU was changed out - not sure why. The Service Manual states that that task is about the only means that air can get into the ABS braking system, and the ABS would need to be tested to purge that air out into the base braking system.
