No fire hazard. These LED's have internal fans to keep temperature down. Usually LED light have either internal resistor or external (that needs to be purchased separately) that keeps the voltage in right level that it does not trigger 'burnt bulb' warning. Only downside without resistor is warning light in dash that might come and go intermittently.
