What is the gap between the clutch plates?. It should be .012 to .016” , too much and the magnetic forces get weaker.
Yo may have to reduce the washers that determine the gap, with your mileage the wear pads will be somewhat thinner than the original, have you studied the faces of the clutch? They could be chewed up and lack the area for a good magnetic attraction.
While your at it check the RCM this causes all sorts of trouble if the contacts are burnt, I see no mention of this in the thread.
Both of the CPS’s measure positions of the crankshaft and camshaft not their temperature.
