Ignition key switch problems are often fixed with this procedure:
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ru-2006-a.html

A flashing red light in the top switch means one of three things:
1) The system is out of sync, the controller has lost track of the position of various parts of the top. YOu can manually re-sync by starting the engine and following the full manual procedure I talk about here:

2) THe cycle did not complete when the top was last put up. Perhaps the electric lock did not unlock, or some sensor did not indicate a full cycle.

3) The Central Locking Pump/Security System Module (CLP-SSM) is defective (usually due to water intrusion into the trunk) or the Body Control Module (BCM) is defective (this is rare).
In cases of the CLP-SSM, it is often that other items won't work right, like the wing won't go up and down automatically like it should or may not respond to the switch on the console when you try to move the wing manually.
3A) If the BAS/ESP or 'brake' lights on the instrument panel are on, the system will disable the top from moving.
