Troubleshooting a bad top is complex, it involves many questions.

The first thing I try is this:

Start engine. Put top down manually. If there is pressure in the system, just remove fuse 5 in the underhood fuse box (engine compartment). 25 amp fuse.
Now, once the top is all the way down and lid is locked, put fuse 25 back in and press the button to put the top up. A top that will go UP but not DOWN is due to a bad divider switch in the trunk or a bad "top open" switch in the top frame, over the passenger's head. This is somewhat easy to fix.

If the top will not go up or down, and fluid is at a good level, we must ask questions:
Does the powered wing go up at 62mph/105kmh? Does the wing go down when speed is below 30mph/50kph? If it does not act right, you have either a problem with traction control system or the CLP/SSM.

Do the door locks work when you use the buttons on the key? Do the door locks work with the button on the console? Door locks that do not work are a sign that the CLP/SSM is bad. A bad CLP/SSM will stop the top from working.

Do you have any warning lights when driving the car? Brake or BAS/ESP lights being on will disable the top from moving.

Has the car been outside in the rain a lot? If water has leaked into the trunk, the CLP/SSM might be wet. If it gets wet, the wing may not work right, the top may not work and the alarm system/door locks may not work.

You must be sure the rest of the car works, if some other systems are bad, the top may not work because of that other problem.
