Yes, that makes sense, and I do understand that they need to protect their interests. I am a novice at all this and when I read on the threads that people have had their pads installed for as little as $20.00, i figured I was in business. I bought the pads per the advice of many on here, and didn't pause to think that it would be an issue to have them installed.

I am learning that not asking questions in advance may cause me some worries later on. I suppose I could find a place that will order and install Rotex brake pads and I could sell mine. They are still in the plastic.

Dealer came back with a $100.00 price tag. Origifinally they wanted $170.00, but came down from that once we balked. My husband is thinking he can do this....crossing my fingers.
