So after replacing the 50 amp fuse, the fans turned on but wouldnt turn off even with ignition off. So I replaced the the fan module, bingo, problem solved, fans turning off and on as they should. Buuuut then the other day, car is running for 20 minutes, fans quit again. I believe the 50 amp fuse is blown again, ordering a new one today, hopefully the new fan module isn't ruined. I think possibly a short in the wire from the 50 amp fuse to the fan module, causing it to try and drawn too much to the fan module. Also my friend suggested maybe the voltage regulator in the alternator is faulty, as I'm having other blown fuses (2 that control the radio), charging system peaking inappropriatly, intermittently causing too much load to fuse blowing circuits.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

When you say fan module, any chance you mean the voltage regulator, 3 inch long metal device with fins sitting in the passenger footwell? I’ve had to replace mine twice due to water damage due to overflow from the windshield coming in the fan area. I have a new module but havnt put it in, problem is fan doesn’t go full speed and jumps around, untill today I noticed the fan just will not turn off ever. I’m hoping this module is the fix.
