Cooling fans won't stop running with car turned off
Hi, new to this forum.
I have an 04 Crossfire. The cooling fans weren't turning on, at low or high speed, so I replaced the 50 amp fuse. Now the the fans are running full blast and wont turn off even when the car is off, unless I unplug the battery or the radiator fan control module. I'm thinking to replace the relay fan control module, but wondering if anyone has any other ideas of what the problem might be? I read something about the cooling fan controller, but I haven't been able to locate it under the hood or figure out how it fits into the circuit. Feedback much appreciated!
*also no codes are being shown by OBD
thanks so much!

Bad fan motor
Bad Fan controller module
Blown 50A fuse to controller
Thank you for the response! I get the part on Thursday, fingers crossed this solves it.
I don't see how that line can be hot all the time without a LOT of stuff still being on - he would see that.
The ignition feed to the fan module is from splice block 101:

Hi,
So after replacing the 50 amp fuse, the fans turned on but wouldnt turn off even with ignition off. So I replaced the the fan module, bingo, problem solved, fans turning off and on as they should. Buuuut then the other day, car is running for 20 minutes, fans quit again. I believe the 50 amp fuse is blown again, ordering a new one today, hopefully the new fan module isn't ruined. I think possibly a short in the wire from the 50 amp fuse to the fan module, causing it to try and drawn too much to the fan module. Also my friend suggested maybe the voltage regulator in the alternator is faulty, as I'm having other blown fuses (2 that control the radio), charging system peaking inappropriatly, intermittently causing too much load to fuse blowing circuits.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
-thanks

Everything and I mean everything has a sequence. Dont forget to check the current draw on the fan motors. In other words start at the other end!!
Just my opinion.
Best of luck, safe driving.

When you say fan module, any chance you mean the voltage regulator, 3 inch long metal device with fins sitting in the passenger footwell? I’ve had to replace mine twice due to water damage due to overflow from the windshield coming in the fan area. I have a new module but havnt put it in, problem is fan doesn’t go full speed and jumps around, untill today I noticed the fan just will not turn off ever. I’m hoping this module is the fix.
There are a few videos on you tube that show how to do this or you can search the forum.
