Default Feature where radio fades off when key turned off

One little feature I enjoy with my factory head unit is the way it fades down to off gradually when you turn off the key and it's on the tuner. It's really nice compared to just turning off instantly.

Is this a feature in the vehicle or the Becker head unit? I am installing a new Blaupunkt head unit next week and was hoping this feature might carry across to the new head unit.

Can anyone who has replace their head unit answer the question?

Take a look at your Crossfire Factory Owners manual for that radio and let us know what you find out.

I couldn't see that it was mentioned. It did say that the radio would operate without the key being turned on, but would turn off after one hour, which I thought was unique.

That still doesn't answer whether that feature or the delayed turn off is inclusive of the head unit or the vehicle wiring system.

It did not carry over when I replaced my factory unit.

I believe it is a feature of the head unit.

I figured as much. The new Blaupunkt I am installing has a setting it calls "switch-off time". Hopefully that will do the same thing.
