As the posts are quite old, do you recommend the same glue/primer from 3M to make the repair ? As my window is almost separated from the canvas, may be the best bet would be to take it out. In that case, it is easy to unplug the wire to the window heater ?

I know that you don't want to hear this, but the best solution is to replace it. There are tons of stories of people who have glued the windows back in and it fell out 3 - 6 months later.
The tops area bout 20 years old now. You can get a new BAS top for about $800.00 it's just like the original. My car has an EZ ON top.
The window on mine is sewn in, not glued. I don't know what the EZ ON costs, mine was replaced before I bought it.
