Some thoughts:
1) I do not buy parts for a "Crossfire". I buy parts for a "2003 SLK320 Mercedes", PERIOD.
2) The RCM you had was, as you have been told, "hacked"/modded/messed up. My question is this: WHY? I can't tell from the photos exactly what they added a SPST relay for or what it does.

Now, a question:
There are four wires going to the added relay - three go into the RCM - where does the other one go? If you dont' show/tell us that, we can't help you. Your car is modded in a way we have not seen before. I agree that restoring the car to "factory" is a good idea, but unless you first determine what the added relay does, you cannot proceed. The fact that traction control lights are on is a good clue - DRIVE THE CAR and then tell us:

1) Does the speedometer work?
2) Does the car seem to drive normally?
3) EXACTLY what lights are on? (A photo helps.)

If you do not answer all that I have asked, you will not get much help, again, we have NO CLUE what was done to that car. We cant rely on the service manual alone, your car is modified. I suspect some sort of "Traction Control Cutout" mod was done but I am GUESSING.
