Ditto Zracer. You spilled trans fluid onto the exhaust. Burning off is normal with the smoke.
GET A DIP STICK BEFORE YOU SCREW SOMETHING ELSE UP!!!!!!!!!!! They are cheap on ebay.

DON"T move the car until you get the dipstick and the transmission fluid is at the correct level.
You keep going the way you are now and you will be replacing/rebuilding the transmission.
