Default Hello

Hello, I purchased my first 2004 crossfire the other day. On the drive home it sprung a leak in the fuel line....fun, fun, fun. 115 in the shade and I wasn't in the shade. Of course no way to get the part quickly and I didn't want to tow it, so I removed the part and took it to a parts store and had to buy a metal tubing fuel line part, cut it down, then cut the bad part from the leaking fuel line, slide the metal tubing in place and crimp it down on both ends. That worked.
Since then I ordered the part and am buying a few tools and tire fix.
Just saying hello and sharing my first experience but I also want to ask:
Can a standard oil change, tranny flush place be trusted to do my first fluid changes? I've never used dealerships.
