If you had read my entire thread about "Top Sensors", and walked your mind thru the process, I think you'd have put this together. I will re-visit that thread, but I thought I put all this in there. It is a long read, but the system is complex, you cannot troubleshoot it if you don't know how it all works. Perhaps it's time for me to add to that thread, I will look at that this weekend.

1) I unlatch the top and push open and the windows go down
2) When I press the top down switch I can hear the trunk lock and the pump motor starts
3) The pump runs for a few seconds and stops
4) The Spoiler button does not light up when pressed and of course the spoiler does not work. I read in one of the posts this could be related to the top not working.
As I read your post, I see the following:
1) So the Power Top Control Module (PTCM) and Body Control Module (BCM) are alive and well.
2) If the trunk locks and pump starts,
---the top open and divider switches are closed and putting the ground on the line to the PTCM.
--- the Central Locking Pump/Security System Module) CLP/SSM sees no reason for the top to NOT move, so it's not a problem.
--- the Brake controller is telling the BCM and CLP/SSM that the vehicle is moving less than 9mph, so the Brake Controller is alive and reporting correctly
3) A- So, the pump, once it starts running, has a problem: probably low fluid, once the pump starts, the fluid drops below the minimum level and the pump stops.
B- It could be a low battery. If you are putting the up or down without the engine running, STOP IT. NEVER operate the top without the engine running. A top that wont move with the engine off is not a problem, it's operator error.

All of the above is based only on what you said - if your description is wrong, them my view is wrong. If that pump really IS starting, I STRONGLY BELIEVE: its either low fluid, low battery, or a goofy sensor on the rear bow latch. Once the pump starts, the PTCM expects the rear bow latch to release pretty fast, if it does not, the PTCM times out and gives up in order to save the pump from over stress.

4) That sounds like a low battery. If the wing never moves, or pops UP every time you drive, you have a low battery or bad ABS sensor data. A wing AND top that wont move at all is often a bad CLP/SSM.

From what you have posted, I'd be looking at the fluid level in the tank. IF it is OK, this will take some detective work. If you are moving the top without the engine running, try it with the engine running before you do anything else.
