The tow company had a LIEN TITLE on the car. I took it to DMV and now have in hand a clean title and registration.
Curious to know a little more about the owner who abandoned it to avoid towing fees etc.
My attempts to contact the old owner have proved fruitless.

Yeah great deal on a great looking car. Might need a new SKREEM - but still a great deal!
