Changing out oil cooler O-rings and water pump at same time.
Water pump has two holes for accessory bracket (not threaded). I didn’t want to just force the new bolts in and hope for a great self thread result (I broke both last time I changed water pump attempting to thread them into water pump and didn’t want a repeat). So I tapped them both with m8. Great result.
I made the investment in a bearing press 2 years ago. If you’re going to do your own work, it will pay for itself in a few uses.
back in the day, I'd have done this kind of work myself but with this car, I feel so unqualified working on it. I'm so afraid I'm going to mess something up. Tomorrow I take my SRT6 to the shop. First time since I bought it. They are going to do a smoke test on my fuel system.
