Griot's Black Satin Spray Coating for all black plastics and hoses etc
If you have an oil / grease build up use "Simple Green Degreaser Spray" and allow to soak for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing off.
I follow essentially this same process & use the Griot's Black Satin Engine Bay Dressing. Where I differ from Gary's process is I don't drive the car to heat up the engine to dry it off after the light rinsing with the garden hose. After rinsing, I get the leaf blower out & dry off the motor.
