Engine oil and oil filter change PART 1 of 2
Svengoolie gets slick! December 18, 2024.
This post is in 2 parts due to the limit of 10 pics per post.

I know, I know, almost everyone here changes their own oil. However, there are those who haven't worked on their own cars yet, or are nervous that they might break something."
Also, for me, this was the first time that I've done an oil change without laying on the garage floor or driveway, with a car or truck on ramps!
I finally broke tradition and bought a vacuum pump. I can't believe how clean it was and how much oil was removed!
This post will show how I used it and also how to replace the filter and O-rings. I know there are 5 O-rings, but I only used 4 because it felt like the stem was going to break on the filter assembly.
Remember, safety first! Wear gloves and eye protection. Also, dispose of your waste oil properly.
