From what I see in the photos, I'd question the sensors on the rear box cylinder. But it could be mis adjustment of the rear bow latch - to be more sure would require seeing a video of the ENTIRE cycle from start to finish.
Only dropped the top 4 times and the last time the top would not fully go down and and the rear cover it clicked into would not fully go down.
I am unsure of what you are saying.
"Top fully down" means, to me, the top is down in the storage area, the lid is closed, and you are ready to go for a ride in the wind.
"Top fully up" is where you put the top up and are ready to drive around in the rain.
I THINK what you are simply saying is that when you put the top UP, the rear bow does not latch into the lid. I THINK you also indicate that putting the top down works fine, but I am unsure of that.
If the top goes fully DOWN and stores correctly but will not to UP fully, in that the rear bow won't latch, is a sign of what I indicate above the quote box.
If the top ALSO does not go DOWN and store correctly, that would imply other issue(s).
