Default Re: Parking Lots / Parking Spaces

A couple months ago, I was parked in a marked handicap spot. Came back after concluding my meeting to find someone parked maybe three inches from my door. Looked around to see if someone was coming to their car ... no one. Walked back inside to ask whose car it was, nobody owned up. Decided to go back and call to have the car towed so I could leave.
The car was gone.
The following week, I brought it up at the meeting since intentionally blocking the door of a car in a handicap spot may have amused someone, but meant this disabled old lady could not even get in my car, and was just plain rude.
The embarrased perpetrator apologized after the meeting. I asked if she thought crowding into disabled parking spots was funny somehow. She claimed she didn't.
The next week, a friend's car was parked in the neighboring spot, so I gave myself enough room to fully open the door while being properly parked in the handicap spot. No muss, no fuss.
We've continued this practice. So, at least one bit o' parking drama is removed.
