This is an interesting situation. He was clear before passing that he wanted it to go to someone who would love and take care of it and his widow wants to follow that directive. I feel like anyone buying it off of this forum passes the test. BAT doesn’t have the same feel - anonymous bidders but still likely it’s someone who cares versus just buying to flip it.

From my research, which is limited, $17k feels fair to his widow and also a relatively good deal for the buyer. I won’t actually know if my logic is good until I post and see any response. I did have someone reach out directly with interest.

I just moved it from his shop to my location so I can clean it up, get pictures and then list it on the marketplace. It’s in awesome condition BUT the top isn’t working other than manually. It was working 6 months ago when I last drove it so don’t think it’s anything major. I did just replace the battery and hope the system is just confused from that. I’ve been going through the help on the forum and hope that gets it working. Popping the top, the windows go down but then it just beeps. The divider switch is working.

BTW - I’m just helping his widow and have zero financial incentive. I’ll help her find the buyer and negotiate a final price but the transaction will be between her and the buyer.
