Recommendations selling ‘05 SRT6 Roadster
I had found that video before too - definitely helpful! He shows that he’s able to snap that top down into the tonneau cover but I can’t. As far as lifting the back of the top up to close the tonneau it doesn’t sound like his engine is running when he’s demoing the process. I can do that part it fine if the engine is off but not when it’s on. Maybe I just need a helper on the other side of the roof - wouldn’t take much hydraulic pressure to make it difficult by myself?
I appreciate your help and linking the video!

you can't do it manually with the car running. It keeps pressurizing the system and it will make it difficult to move the top in any direction.
Release the pressure when the engine is off as Mark said in the video. Then move the top to either open or closed. Repeat this process manually a few times.
Then try it using the button with the engine running.
Here's how to refill the hydraulic reservoir. Make sure it is at the max line before proceeding.
Thanks for the response about not being able to do this manually (put up/down) when the car is running - confirms my experience.
When I was looking at a troubleshooting post about the top sensors - it claimed (or I read) that sometimes you can get it working by putting it up/down several times while it’s running. That the system kind of watched and then it might work. I’ll have to reread that long post again!

Wanted to provide two updates for those who are following:
First I ended up taking it to a shop for the convertible top problem. They easily diagnosed that the trunk latch wasn’t reporting that it was locked. They took apart the latch and found the wire had come apart. Fixed the wire and everything is working perfectly. THANK YOU to everyone who tried to help - this forum is great!
Second is that a member here has agreed to purchase the car. We’ll finalize the deal in the next week and it’ll be shipping to Florida for the next chapter in its hopefully very long life. It was very important to my deceased friend that the car go to someone who knew about and loved the SRT6. I feel good about that with the new owner.
