Hello, I'm Steve. Been looking at an 05 SRT-6
roadster. Between here and Facebook groups I learned as much as I could, spoke with very informative individual by the name of Brian Hoffman, he shared a lot of valuable information. Today I go to look over the car, to buy it!!
8 hours later 578 miles behind me I am home with the car, No issues, what a machine, It is not as quick in the low end as my Hennessey tuned Stealth, but still a FUN car to drive.
1) Sales Tax on a car purchase is 5%, with a maximum fee of $500!
2) Personal Property tax on my 2007 Limited Crossfire Coupe was $66.89 in August and that included a $25 fee for the new state tag for the plate!
I had a colleague of mine, when I worked in VA Mountain locale, that said if he ever got the opportunity to move south of I-85, that was as far north that he would ever live. I do live south of I-85!
My wife wants to move south, but I think this northern boy would melt in your never-ending summers. The best/worst season Fall will be arriving here quickly. best for weather, but SRT6 has to go into hibernation it rarely sees late October.
