Quick research tells me its a vintage scam device that the originator was sued for in California , paid a 4ook fine and retired with the 15 million he made, no justice there. Previous owner said he did not install it but that the car did have a lot more 1, 2 gear pickup than his first Crossfire. Asking ya'll how legit is this?!!! Can I just cut it out of the harness and be happy? I am not a hot rodder, the ride is quick enough for my style. So What should I do , leave it be? or extract if from the car and return it to stock?? I know engines and motorcycles pretty well but also understand that a 2006 Crossfire can be pretty touchy on some issues and I dont want to take a good riding toy and turn it into a problem??!! Thanks in advance for all your hard earned knowledge.
Welcome to the family! Congrats on your Coupe!
As far as that chip goes, I wonder if the car had to be "tuned" for that chip. You could always try it and if there's a problem, put it back in.
As far as regular maintenance, there are a ton of posts on here. Like you, I do my own work. This thread might be helpful: My Journey with my 2006 roadster It's a maintenance history and vehicle history of my car.
When ever I work on my car I make a post of what I did with plenty of pictures with captions. The links are on the bottom of the first page.
Enjoy your Crossfire!
