Easy to replace/install: separate electric connector on drivers side, use a small screw driver get under the two metal retaining clips and remove the clips, lift fan up and out. You will need to wiggle around some of the coolant hoses, but they all remain connected, just get them out of the way as you lift. When you install and get near the bottom be sure both tabs get inserted into their respective slots and reconnect the electric connection. I use a small screw driver to get under the tabs on the electric connector to help separate the two halves.
Appreciate the info, easiest fan I ever pulled! I'll have the new one today. That explains the module, varies speed. I did check the output of the module and it's 12VDC. I was a little worried it might be fried cause the bearing ceased on the motor.
