Default Re: Convertible motor replacement cost

I can almost promise you it is not that motor. TOp motors that wont run are caused by (in no specific order of frequency):

Bad divider switch
bad "top open" switch
loss of sync due to a low battery or unknown 'glitch'
water damaged CLP/SSM
fluid level so low the motor has been disabled by the PTCM
failure in the BCM
failure in the brake controller or certain wheel speed sensor failures
defective limit switch on the powered wing (base/limited only)
bad trunk latch switch
bad electric trunk lock solenoid
.......... other stuff I cant think of right now

The last three roadster tops I worked on were fine, the CLP/SSM was water damaged in each one of them.
