if you’re going to attempt this on your own
get a tube of touchup and watch a lot of YouTube paint scratch repair videos.
Light sand the area to remove hard edges or loose paint
then 2-3 passes with paint to fill in the scratch leave it for 24 hours after paint
then wet sand, lightly with 1500/2000/3000
to even it out. DONT PRESS TO HARD
follow up with McQuiares 105/205 available on jungle web site
variable speed drill orange pad the red to finish
i had lots of paint work to correct on a recently acquired R58. Lots of scratches
I did these steps, I used 5 different polish compounds but you can most likely get away with just 2
the results were like new
no matter what you do, it will look 100x better than it sours right now.
it’s only paint and you can always do it over.
pm me for more details. We can talk over the phone.
I appreciate the help and info.
I probably won't tackle this until the fall, so if I do decide to try it, I'll send you a pm.
Thanks,
John
