How did you know?!

Actually, my football nickname was "The Albatross" (think wing/arm span) and as the fellow in the Diet Pepsi ad says when asked if there is anything else he misses from the 70s "I'd like my hair back".

Good one, I'll have to remember it and bring it into the conversation with some of my buddies with a lack of hair.

I washed my car, filled it with gas and started to prepare it for the hibernation period. Insurance removed it will wait out the next four months or so covered in the garage.

This is what a neighbor got when he used a sparky pump to transfer gas from the car. It was a diesel VW, and his wife filled it with gasoline.

Replaced the return hose on the power steering pump on the black SRT, didn't need the reservoir, its on the shelf, along with a spare set of valve cover gaskets that I didn't need. Ordered 2 more of the correct hoses for the other two Crossies. The pump quit growling and the smoke is now gone. Easy fix, Thanks y'all.

Oil change! And then I had to put the serpentine belt back on. Can you say, "slight oil spill?"

I take it that you wished you had thought of putting a hose clamp on that outlet hose ?
Why not just use a top-sider ?

Just the reason I still execute an oil change "the old fashioned way". Put the front end on ramps, removed the bottom engine shield, and then drain the oil pan. Seeing all that apparatus made my "head hurt".

Spill? Was it around the oil filter cap? Ppl tend to put the 'O' ring in the wrong 'groove'. Make sure it is in the 'second' groove from the rim of the filter cover/holder. Not right at that lip, but the next one down (if I remember the assembly correctly).

I put too much oil into the funnel and it tipped a bit thus sharing the joys of lubrication with a pulley or two.

If you want some of that old R-E-S-P-E-C-T, clean up that car. This is not the Winter Beater forum. Just kidding, we'll sort of.
A dirty car is the sign of dirty mind.

Ouch! I just got it! Even so, full detailing is going to have to wait until the Spring. We're in the midst of a severe snow storm.

At least it went to bed yesterday with two new front tires, a custom made (and installed by me) windshield wiper reservoir, a successful Safety Certification which required a lense cleaning in order to pass all along with clean oil/filter and the surface dirt gone...

I can't read the label: it's in Cantonese or Mandarin. I guess I'm saying it's 'all Greek to me'...

Replaced Power steering return hose on the Rescue SRT-blu one. Water pump bearing is noisy (flood damaged I guess) now showing up.

Installed TCU I had reprogrammed and now the car is shifting normal again. With the slicks on and shifting normal, I just need a track day. The weather has closed all the tracks around here. So all my test and tuning will be on the streets for now....love the new gearing now that we are shifting correctly again.

I picked up a Crankshaft for my SRT Engine rebuild. Flew Calgary to San Antonio and back with the replacement. Dropped it off today for polishing and inspection

Thanks Jimmie C your Texas hospitality was over the top
I really appreciated meeting you and having dinner with you and the lovely Kay.

For those loooking for SRT Engine parts Jimmie has quite a few items stashed away in a climate controlled storage unit.

Last week I put to my car lowered springs Vogtland -35/-35 + winter tires 235/40/18 + 255/40/19. No rub, more comfortable and looks OK.

Just re-glued the glass back onto the canvas top, so I took it out in the rain today to test it. Worked beautifully..
