I'm going to look at this on my 2007 Coupe. Hopefully, I can avoid an issue "down the road". Thanks for the heads-up on this.

Changed my oil, then figured out how to use the FSS, that's some cool stuff.

Today I stood outside and yelled and cussed my crossfire. I tried the new siren using the panic mode on the fob, and all I got was my lights flashing at me? Why did I spend $138 on new siren that doesn't click or even make any noise. I'm telling you all, this car is starting to drive me crazy, and it doesn't have far to drive. It's not like you can hook up wires wrong, click and play type set up. OK, open to any one's suggestions.

As you can see the siren is dependent for a signal from the CLP/SSM to operate.
You should look there for a cause or somewhere in the wires from it, the earth or battery.
As it does not chirp either the problem is the cause of both I would think.

decided to go ahead and try to clean the egr, ended up not being able to take off the second bolt which is located right below the metallic pipe, the one towards the front of the car. and when I was trying to figure out I started to receive Tornado warnings on my phone so had to leave it half done. it was 80 and sunny when I started to work on the car, it was below 50 and raining when I gave up. San Antonio classic :/

Replaced the idler, tensioner and drive belt today. Used Gates parts and the idler didn't have provision to snap the plastic cover back on but it did have a NGK bearing with a larger outside diameter. Of course when putting the fan assembly back in I broke the fitting off the overflow tank. Have a brass one now.

Sorry, this was on the roadster.

Filled up the 2007 Coupe yesterday. First gas purchase this year - took 13.76 gallons. Fuel mileage was 24.3 MPG. Not bad for a 2-seat performance sports car, used mostly in city driving conditions for a couple of months, that's 10 years old. Gotta love these cars!

Just finished washing & detailing (a bit) the 2007 Coupe. She's ready to go for the Cars & Coffee event at Michelin HQ tomorrow from 0800 to 1100. Now If the weather will cooperate, and not rain as forecasted, should be a good event.

Got the NA up and running well today. Found a crack in the MAF Housing to theThrottle body. New one fixed the nagging CE-Light.

Next week it gets new shoes on the front and I'm putting the original wheels back on it.

Crumpy's SRT got a new IC Pump in today. That and some brake issues will be fixed tomorrow. In time for the new owner.

I hereby state my HATE of the State Tree of Alabama.

Pollen season is, once again, causing extreme stress for all ****-retentive types in the SE US.

DAMMIT! Why, oh WHY, did I buy a black car? It is bad enough on the Little Red Buggy....

Amen, brother. As another ****-retentive, OCD-laden southerner, I can testify that the yellow curse is upon us.
Special prayers for you black car owners.
I love the oyster gold. It would certainly lower the stress level.

Better than the salt spray from the road that we avoid by not using our cars for five months, only to get the cars out just in time for the pollen from our pines and spruces.

New shoes... Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Positions in stock sizes. I'll get some summer rims and try something a bit more aggressive. Will post a review of the tire in a month or so, first I need to get the rims repaired (someone curbed a front rim on the inside hard enough to make it out of round (I'm betting driving on ice and a curb?). Thinking I finally found my high speed vibration.

Over the weekend I took the lower and upper billet grills off the roadster and reinstalled the original upper grill. I like the factory look better. Also got a new windshield installed in that car on Monday. Younger guy doing the replacement so I told him about the cases where upper trim blew off after windshield replacement. He went very slow and patiently removing the trim pieces and lost no tabs. Turns out his girl friend has a Crossfire and he is quite familiar with them. New top gets installed Monday.
