Did some more waxing tonight,
Thought I'd try a thin film of vasoline inside of exhaust tips to see if future cleaning will be easier.

AND.... installed the piezo buzzer for a keyless entry alert tone!...sweet!

Keyless entry alert tone link!

Slasher stripes and a good, deep cleaning. Only thing left to do is restore the headlights and I'll be ready for Spring

And I would think that if you actually burn the Vaseline, you might have a lot more trouble cleaning them next time?

I'll let you know, experiment......
It really can't be any harder to clean...
When I got the car it was black inside, maybe be easier to keep clean, once it's clean.

Remember-the SRT 6 exhaust tips are painted BLACK inside? Do you have an SRT? Just askin'.

Thats Funny!!!! My oldest son is 22, no wrecks or tickets. He very seldom ask but I have to say that I feel real bad. I purchased my yongest son his own Crossfire last year to take to college. SO I do let him take mine every now and then. I have not been able to forgive myself that on his senior prom when some of the other dads let their sons take there muscle cars, I was worried about the insurance issues and would not let him take my 72 Buick Skylark GS. Looking back It was just a car. I have tried to talk him into trading in his 06 Dodge pick up and getting one so we would have three in the family. We'll see

A little over 5 years ago, my (then) 20 year old daughter wanted to drive my Crossfire. Even though she was "manually challenged" at the time, she was feeling pretty confident because she had driven our Viper and never stalled it.
I said OK and we went for a drive. She was doing pretty good until we pulled up to a stop light, and stalled it when the light turned green. Naturally somebody started honking, and of course that didn't help matters. She got more frustrated each time she tried to launch it, and it just went down hill from there. Personally, I think because the car is so quiet, she simply couldn't hear the motor.
Well fast forward 5 years later, and she bought her own Alabaster roadster, "automatic" so I guess she showed me.

Tell your daughter congrats! It is nice to see multiple generations owning a Crossfire. Unfortunately my sons don't share my passion (yet or I scare the crap out of them when I drive).

John, I lucked out. My Daughter didn't ask to use my AMX for her Prom.
I did let my Nephew use our new 87 Supra for his Prom. I got it back with a couple hundred extra miles on the odometer, but in prestine condition.

Mothers aluminum mag polish I used this for a good half hour when I got my car and ever since I clean the tips with a rag after every wash and they are shinny as new no problems since.

Installed my Needswings CAI and MB engine cover. Toughest part was getting the stock MAF elbow off the car. I never realized how restrictive that thing is.

Haven't road tested the new intake yet, but the car fired up and idled fine.
