Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I got my car out of the paint shop today. Looks pretty good.
I had a chance to play with my ODB2 readers and the winner is Launch CRP123. Much easier to use than the Launch Elite 2.0 Benz. So unless the features like emailing reports is important to you, the Launch Creader Professional CRP123 is my goto reader. So far. Maybe I'll find a reason for the Elite 2.0 Benz.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Today I was working on replacing both the large valve cover gaskets and the breather gaskets. Everything is super clean and ready to go.
I have a question about the large valve cover gaskets. When installing them into the grooves, do they need any RTV or do they just go in dry?
I'm used to the old flat gaskets on '60s cars.
Thanks for any help.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
All new Top Hydraulics cylinders are installed. I took my time installing them and thought all was good .....BUT NOT!!!
I started with the top up and what a mess. Nothing is working in the proper order. Is the computer out of sink? Is there a start up procedure I have missed? I had to walk away and pick up sticks in the yard to ease my disappointment. This morning (6:00am) I am reaching out here for some help and encouragement.

If you think the system is out of sync, there is a procedure to resync the system. Go over to the roadster forum and find the help topics on the top, it might be a sticky. If not, look in the documents collection or contact member 'pizzaguy' (he developed a post on how to resync the top). Good luck!

Working on the Crossfire, Too many tasks, check the windows, check the tires, check the oil, dollar gas……..Too much monkey business fo me to be involved in.
So my wife and I drove to Angelica, NY, to Cartwright’s Maple Tree Inn where we enjoyed an “all you can eat buckwheat Pancake Breakfast”, including their famous 100% Maple Syrup.
Angelica is pretty much in the middle of nowhere located in the Western Southern Tier of NY, but that nowhere is about as scenic and beautiful as you would ever want. Miles and miles of woods, wildlife, and streams and a lot of poor little backwater towns caught up in absolutely nothing, including boarded up food processing plants and small farms.

Instead of seeing the roadside clusters of newly built sheds for sale, you find theres a market for blinds for duck, turkey and deer hunters.

………..and a thriving market for anything wood.
If I wasn’t already old, I think I’d like to retire there.
Except the winters suck.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Out for another drive in the Crossfire.
Filling up with Premium.
My last 2 tanks were fill ups too.
November 16, 2023 and February 20,2024
I drove enough miles throughout the winter to use 2 full tanks of gas.
Never drove in snow, salt or rain.
Not even a car wash all winter and it's this clean with just some detail sprays occasionally.
We had a really mild and dry winter this season.

I really like the 'Official State Inspection' sign in the right hand window! LOL
