Question A/C leak

I noticed oil accumulating on the plastic pan under the A/C compressor. Is this a common problem and are there any fixes other than a compressor replacement?

Are you sure that it is not engine oil?

Question Re: A/C leak

It is directly below the compressor across about a 1 foot area. It looks as if the compressor is flinging oil. When I get a chance I will thoroughly clean the area and recheck.

Sounds like either a hose, joint, or seal leak. All can be fixed, but it may be much easier to replace comprssor if it is a seal. Hose leak is a hose leak. Replace hose solve problem.

Default A/C leak

I'd sure like to know how this turned out since I have a similar leak on/under my A/C compressor.
