Default SCRAPED (not scrapped!) front bumper

actually I scratched it trying to make a turnaround, the curb was just a bit too high. It's not too bad. It's the area below the bumper, you know, the lowest part of the front of the car..I'm used to driving a jeep and still need to learn about clearance. Apparently. So, anyone know what a body shop will do? It's plastic in that area, I think. I'm almost afraid to take my Crossie in to find out how much dough it will take to repair...do they have to take the whole thing off the front? Does that area detach, below the grills? Thanks.

Depending on how deep you cut into the bumper. Butt o refinish a bumper a god shop will remove the front bumper cover. It's one piece. If they can repair the damage and paint it, it should be in the $250 - $400 range.

What I would do if it's not too badly damaged is sand it down using from 600 to 1200 wet/dry for final(wet) sand then buy a can of spray paint from Automotive Touchup, mask it off and spray it. Total cost will be about $30. It probably won't be the last time you do this, I'm sure that more of us have done it than not.

Mine looks horrible. I let my step dad borrow the car when my parents cars were down and he pulled to the parking bricks, up and over every time lol. I don't worry about it since you can't see it unless its on a lift or you are laying on the ground.
