staggered wrenches? you mean it is telling you it needs serviced? Have you ever reset the service indicator after having your car serviced?

Is there a negitive symbol in front of the 57000?
If there are two wrenches and -57000, then you are 57000 miles past due for 2nd level service.

Check the owners manual for details.

depends on where you go.

ask a couple local independent shops that work on MBs and tell them you have an SLK that needs "B" service.
then it depends on what problems, if any, that they find.

good luck

On average it's around $100. It uses Mobil One 0w40 Synthetic and shops like to charge a pretty penny for it. Plus 8 quarts of it means it gets expensive quick. Some shops let you bring your own oil in. I would recommend doing this since you can get a gallon of this stuff for around $25 at Walmart.
