Default Extra key buying options

I have been thinking about obtaining an extra key, and the Chrysler dealer tells me it could cost close to $300. Dealer says it does have a chip in the FOB that must be programed in their shop. Has anyone discovered a cheaper way to obtain just the key w/o the FOB?

Do a search here on the forums and you will find a ton of info but Needswings sells replacements for 149, I think. My local dealer here stated a price of 169 and some said extra for "programming" and some didn't. There is no special programming needed that you can't do yourself. Search "programming your key" here on the forums and you will see.
