Default Radiator fan

As far as I can tell the radiator fan is not working. It dose not seem to come on, unless I turn the air on, but it only makes about ten slow revolutions, and shuts off. The temp gets up to above 190 on my ultra gauge and nothing. Dose it seem like the fan control module. Also the air conditioning compressor dose not come on. The light on the dash, and the Ac blower runs on all settings. But no Ac . It is starting to get warm here. I have never seen it the radiator fan run on high

Possibilities for the fan :
1. The fan motor
2. the fan control module
3. the PTCM
4. wiring.

As to the A/C, couldn't say .......

The fan comes on at 200°, doesn't run on a really high-speed in my opinion.
But dose cool temp down. I have a blue wire coming from under the engine cover to the air conditioning compressor . Is that the way it should be.

As to the NO AC part of your problem, get yourself a measuring gauge for the AC low pressure return hose and check the pressure real quick. If you're below 30psi when its around 70 degrees outside then you've got a leak or are running low on freon from that leak. I actually went ahead and tossed in a can of 134A freon in my car 2 days ago because the AC wasn't really cooling much of at all. I know there's a leak somewhere but until I have the time to find it by running to a shop itll have to do. The gauge should cost you around 20 bucks from an auto parts store. Got mine from Oreily's as i hate autozone for the amount of sheer stupid their employees tend to accumulate between themselves.

They all turn hard by hand. As Adrian_X said, measuring the pressures is the only way to be sure.

Sam's Club had 12 can cases of R-134A for $48 last time I looked. 30 lb tank for $78.

Thanks !
Good price, I'll grab some next visit.
( have a slow leak in my '02 Concorde Limited - cheaper than getting it fixed, 2 cans seem to last all summer )

If the fan isn't working correctly the ac blower will work but the compressor will not run. I had this problem few years back. Fan module and motor were replaced under warranty. Also had the low coolant light come on for this problem even though it was full.

No low coolent light, hv/ ac blower works on all speeds. Have not taken glove box out to see if the blend door is working, but if I switch to defrost the air comes out at the window as it should.

If I'm not mistaken the fan module was a recall item. Possible yours was never done. This could be the problem.

The fan motor was a problem due to improper assembly but not the fan module.

Since you said your air works, but doesn't cool at all inside the car with the AC turned on, did you actually go ahead and check the pressure in your AC system like I mentioned earlier?

Oreily's has the pressure gauge for only 19 bucks, it wont hurt to have one trust me.

Sorry, I thought I mentioned that I checked the pressure first, and it is fine.

Ordered a fan control module. I will keep the forum updated, I sometimes think that the fan maybe an issue as well, when I press the AC button the fan runs slow for a few seconds and stops, the Ac clutch never engages. Never have owned the car when the AC quit I don't know how it acted. I do know that heater is strait from hell, I don't know how it does not melt the vents.

May be the fan next, but the fan comes on at, or around 200 according to my ultra gauge. It was 97 today I ran it a little spirited from modesto, to Sonora never saw above 209, temp, not mph
