Default Finding drives...

I'm in a new city (Indianapolis) where I neither know the area, nor the people, so finding fun places to drive (scenic with some twisties) hasn't been easy. After some searching I found motorcycleroads.com Pretty handy, so thought I'd share. Hope to go check out the Turkey Rub area and some cool covered bridges once the wheels and tires come in

A delayed but warm welcome to the forum here
Be sure to meet some of the other locals there near Indy which are also friends of mine
.

BoilerUpXFire (John & Molly) and oledoc2u (Bill) are some good people who also have a passion for the Crossfire and own some very nicely modded ones as well
.

We always welcome our owners to the south to join us up here in the Chicago suburbs for some of the local events we do up here and occasionally my Indy friends I mentioned above make the trip up and make it a weekend get away and stay the night on Saturday somewhere locally.

Our next two events planned can be seen in these two threads below
Feel free to come and meet some of us and enjoy some time with other Crossfire owners

Next weekend >> Chicago Downtown Lakefont Cruise - Saturday May 24th

And in June >> 2014 Chicago 1/2 Mile Private Runway Shootout - June 21 and 22

Have a wonderful time now as the Crossfire season begins

Gary

Thanks Gary, hoping to get up with some of the locals soon, but unfortunately it really isn't feasible for me to get out on the weekends due to my (horrible) work schedule. Trying to get switched back to a normal Monday through Friday, but I haven't had much luck as of yet. Hopefully by June I'll get back to it... I have some old friends in Chicago I need to visit and the shootout sounds like a blast!

If ya can break free from the job tell your friends to meet you and the rest of us at the shootout event
It is a great time and some incredible fast cars to watch racing the 1/2 mile runway at a beautiful local airport in the open area of the south suburbs

Hope to meet you eventually at one of the many Crossfire events around the country every year
The most popular one each year is >> 8th Annual Fall 2014-Tail of the Dragon GTG-October 3,4,5

I actually own a home in NC, so already make a trip out that way a few times a year... The Tail of the Dragon meet will probably be be a possibility. Even the highways through that area are a blast in the crossfire.

It is an absolute great time with a LOT of Crossfire owners
Multiple driving routes to choose from both Saturday and Sunday
Some even arrive on Thursday and do a run on Friday
Dinners together at the Fontana Lodge and evenings spent in the company of many who all enjoy a cold one or a good cigar.
All ages are welcome and all ages do attend every time.
Most who attend come back every year to follow after having such a great time

They are generally hours away, I'm surprised there aren't more members in Indy. Maybe I should get some cards like other members have and start leaving them on crossfires

There are no special cards.
You need to create your own
I had these made at www.Vistaprint.com

I've heard the question asked a few times. I could throw together a template and share it...
